The trend for selling video on the Internet "vending-machine-style" got a huge boost with the announcement by search giant, Google, that their online video store opened for business.

On the surface, it appears they'll just sell old episodes of the "Brady Bunch," "Twilight Zone" and NBA games you missed.

However, on closer inspection, Google's online Video Store represents a whole-scale shift in communications power.

For those of you who might have missed it, let me quickly catch you up. Last year, Google started publishing TV news content on their http://video.google.com/ site. A short time later, they started accepting content from anyone with a video camera and something to show. In very little time, Google started developing a huge grabbag of everything from community access TV clips to video game instructions to yoga tips - all on video streaming over the Internet.

In my opinion, this first stage served the purpose of gauging market interest and whether enough people would submit /watch video to make it worth taking the next step (selling video online).

Obviously, Google thought enough people had enough interest in consuming video online, because Friday, January 6, 2006 they announced the opening of their Video Store at http://video.google.com/

The store functions like a virtual vending machine, allowing visitors to stream video right on their computer screens. If the copy protection is turned off, Google also enables users to download some paid video to their iPods and SonyPSPs to view on the go.

The individual publishers of the video content determine whether the copy protection gets turned on or off. Also, content publishers determine the prices for their videos but, at the moment, most video still comes free of charge.

I will say, however, that Google's video service isn't perfect, but it works and, like everything else they do, it will get better because they operate with enough cash to make it work (if consumers want it).

With that said, what does all this mean to the individual content provider / information marketer?

What does this mean for distribution and consumption of video content? First, it opens up a distribution channel for small content publishers (1-man shows) who could create excellent content, but, until now, lacked the technical expertise or server resources to deliver the video over the Web.

Second, it allows content providers to target micro-niche audiences who cannot be reached profitably through traditional advertising or distribution channels (Wal-Mart doesn't carry "Chihuahua Training Tips" videos).

Third, it creates a unique outlet for individual creativity like never before and will expose consumers to a whole new world of thought and content.

Though the service has its detractors, the video isn't high-definition, and the system has some kinks to work out, Google Video's approach will win out in the end.

Google's model has always been to "keep it simple!" By making it simple for consumers to find and view video, as well as making it simple for content providers to upload and distribute video, Google will find itself at the center of an online video revolution comparable to the "golden age" of television in the early 1950s.

Refering to an article That I found recently by Jeff Mulligan.

The other day I was talking to a guy at the health club I just
joined. (Never had time when I was working for someone else.)

We started talking about our personal trainers. If you aren't
familiar with the term, these are fitness experts who are
educated to design work-out routines based on an individuals
strengths, needs and goals.

Anyway, Rick said something that struck me right between the
eyes. "I got so confused reading all the books and fitness
magazines. Everyone has a different opinion of what works the
best. I finally figured if I was going to work out, I might as well
pick one expert, listen to them and follow their program."

Later, as I was driving my sore body home, I thought about how
appropriate Rick's comment was to Internet Marketing.

Everyone's an expert.
(Even people who have yet to sell their first eBook.)
And there are a million programs, books, secrets, techniques
and tactics that will work for you.

The problem is, you can easily fall into what my favorite
business school professor called, "Analysis Paralysis".

That's where a lot of people are stuck.
They keep reading, and it gets in the way of actually doing
something.

***** I was guilty *****

I was guilty of this, too. I must have bought several hundred
dollars worth of books and courses before I found what worked
for me.

Fortunately, the expert I decided to follow was, in hindsight, an
excellent choice. And by following his advice and listening to his
ideas, I have built up a couple of successful income streams.

My point isn't that my "guru" is the right one for everyone.
The point is to pick one or maybe a couple of people you really
respect, and model them. Of course, make sure they are actually
successful in their own businesses first.

But when you find someone you respect and whose style you like,
listen to their advice and follow what they recommend in their
writings.

***** Save Your Brain *****

Following this strategy can save lots of brain cells that you would
spend switching strategies and tactics. It avoids confusion and
gives you a good point of reference from which to work.

You don't have to keep reading and searching for the latest eBooks.
Assume your guru knows the latest tactics and will advise you of
how well they work.

I'm not saying you never look at another eBook or eZine again, it's
just that you have one primary star you follow, it's that much easier
to find your way.

out for this reason.
The Google search engines don't seem to acknowledge the internal
links of the free blogs of Google sponsored ( http://www.blogger.com/start )
at least for Backward Links for Page Rank.

I have 3 blogs with (blogger.com) and one with ( spaces.msn.com )
The one with ( spaces.msn.com ) shows up with back links on most
of my other web sites and nothing back linking from any of the 3
( blogger.com ) sites.

I think Google is just playing hard to get. So be sure to ping Yahoo
when posting to your blog. That keeps Google interested.

How many times has someone clicked a link to visit Your Website, and all that came up onto their screen was a page saying the requested page was not available. Or 404 Error?

Why not insert code and re-direct that 404 page to your home page or a sales page, instead of loosing that click you worked so hard to get.

How many times have you clicked a link to visit a Website, and all that came up onto your screen was a page saying the requested page was not available. Or 404 error?

I know you're not interested in the techie reasons for this happening, but sometimes if you click 'Refresh', the page will load for you.

If that doesn't work, try returning later and see if it loads.

And sometimes you may find that a page is taking ages to load. The bar in your task bar is crawling across at a snail's pace, try clicking (Stop) and refresh the page.

Sometimes the page loads almost instantaneously.

Most web hosts will allow you to create sub domain account and redirect them to other web pages. For example, if you run a website with the domain (100opinions.com), you could setup a new sub domain called

a Sub domain name is nothing more than placing a name in front of your domain name with a period between them.

You will need hosting service for this Technique. This is done from the web host control panel that you are provided with hosting service. Usually found as an Icon in the control panel marked as Sub domains.

author has the .com name.

When using Explorer, With a web page open, just click on the "e" you see in the address bar, left click and hold the mouse button down and drag the address onto the desktop. Of course you'll have to make sure you can see the desktop behind the browser, at least enough to make the drop.

When you do this, an Internet Explorer icon is created with the title of that page you've been visiting. Next time you want to visit your favorite page, just double click that icon.

If you're a Netscape or FireFox fan, drag and drop the Location
icon onto the desktop for the same effect.

The desktop is visual, easy to see. Incidentally, you can drag the 'e' to your bottom task bar if you prefer.

again, this one pretending to be E-Bay, Prompts me
to post again this notice. Re place _______ with
any of your financial institutions. Banks, PayPal,
Credit Unions, Credit Cards, etc.

Recently, there have been multiple e-mail fraud
attempts, known as "Phishing", that were initiated
via e-mail sent to both the general public and to
some ________ members that appeared to be from
______.

This false e-mail asked for the recipient
to click on a link to verify their ___________
account registration. If the recipient proceeded
to do so, the link directed them to a false
website and asked for their _______________
account number and PIN or Password, along with
other personal information.

__________ does NOT ask members for such personal
information via email. Anyone who receives an

Do to a most recent rash of e-mails that I've gotten
from a low life scum trying to steel my PayPal Account
Prompts this tip. A rather persistent cuss, About 4 or
5 times a day maybe more, telling me my account has
a problem.

Authentic looking from PayPal, the first clue was
that it was addressed to an e-mail that wasn't
associated with my paypal account. The second clue
was the greeting "Dear Customer."

Look for a PayPal Greeting:

PayPal will never send an email with the greeting
"Dear PayPal User" or "Dear PayPal Member."
Real PayPal emails will address you by your first
and last name or the business name associated
with your PayPal account.

Don't share personal information via email:
PayPal will never ask you to enter your password or
financial information in an email or send such
information in an email. You should only share
information about your account once you have
logged in to (https://www.paypal.com/.) Type this into
your broswer

Don't download attachments: PayPal will never
send you an attachment or software update to install
on your computer.

Use Your Account Wisely

Don't share your account: Don't use your PayPal
account to collect or transfer money for someone
else. These types of activity are often conducted as
forms of money laundering or mail fraud and may
result in significant criminal penalties.

If someone contacts you and asks you to transfer
money on their behalf, you should deny the request.

Increase your security: Become a Verified

To change your home page, just follow these simple instructions:

But First go to the web site you want as your homepage.

1. Click on "Tools" in your tool bar.

2. Click on "Internet Options".

3. Under the General tab, you will see a heading: "Home Page"
and a text box. That text box is already hightlighted and ready
to type into. Just type in (copy&paste) the URL of the webpage
you want in that text box.

4. Click on "Apply"

5. Click "OK"

(Use Current) click it to take on the current page showing in
your window.

Two other tips that are free, Ad Aware Personal SE and
Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.3 ..... These are easily
downloaded and are free at ( www.download.com ) once you
get to this site, type the name in the search bar at the
top of the page on the left hand side.

Download and install them, run them, you will be
surprised how much stuff they will find. These two programs
need to be updated once a week and run every week. They are
great programs. They only work if you keep them updated and
run them every week.

I almost forgot, Please inform everyone that the Weather
Bug that so many people use is a Spy Bot in itself.
Weather Bug is well known for this, it seems harmless
enough, but it is in disguise a real well known Spy Bot.

The best anti virus on the market right now is called Defender Pro 5 in One. They make several versions of it, the 5 in 1 is everything the user will ever need. (It will not work on Server operating systems) but, most people never even heard of a server operating system.

McAfee and Norton are by far the worst anti virus protection on the market, yet they are the best known. The Defender Pro has the best protection, as well as manny other attrib's to it's credit.

It is easily available at Wal Mart for about $20. The beauty of this is that each
copy allows the buyer to use it on up to 3 different computers, and it is good for a year.You can't beat it.

Some add-ons can shut down your browser. They did mine and thats what prompted this "Bite Size Tip" That is where my inspiration came from to pass these tips along.

Web browser add-ons add functionality--like extra toolbars, animated mouse pointers, stock tickers, and pop-up ad blockers--to your Web browser to make browsing a little more fun or effective.

How add-ons end up on your computer.Many add-ons come from the Internet. Most add-ons from the Internet require that you give your permission before they are downloaded to your computer.

Some, however, might be downloaded without your knowledge. This can happen if you previously gave permission for all downloads from a particular Web site or because the add-on was part of another program that you installed.

Some add-ons are installed with Microsoft Windows.
(Some add-ons can shut down your browser.)
Add-ons are typically fine to use, but sometimes they force Internet Explorer to shut down unexpectedly. This can happen if the add-on was poorly built or created for an earlier version of Internet Explorer.

Here's what you can do:

Here is something you should find very interesting. View Source, What is view source? Are you aware that behind the website there is code that

tells the page what to show.

Depending on what step of interest you are on, this is something that will be of some value sooner or later. One of many uses of this info is to

see what that #1 web site on Google is using for Key Words to get them

there. You can get a behind the curtain look.

Go to your Browser and Look up to the left - top of that window, see

File - Edit - View - Favorites - Tools - Help... Firefox or other Browsers

might not be in the same order, just go to View anyway, Left click, and

in the drop down locate Source and Left Click. Firefox will say Page Source,

anyway, up pops the source code to the web site thats being viewed with

a vast amount of info. You take it from here.

Recently we learned to redirect our affiliate address

by way of a line of HTML code.

You can use another method as well, http://tinyurl.com/
Just go there and type your affiliate address into the box
provided and click the button and out pops a tiny URL to
replace your longer affiliate address.. You can use this
address to send prospects to your affiliate.

Example:
http://tinyurl.com/75x5g

Why try to hide our affiliate address? Because it makes
it more clickable, and decreases the temptation of
dishonesty.

It's much more desirable to click on an address that's
not showing it's self as an affiliate.

Dishonesty is tempted by seeing those affiliate
numbers and removing them before the click thru.

your affiliate business. Do you have your own web site? If
you do I suggest you use a simple redirect method to hide your
affiliate ID#.

Just create a blank page on your site and insert this HTML
redirect code.

into the Meta Tags between <head> and </head>

Where the www. .com appears just replace with your
affiliate address.

NOTE; It's possible that you may receive this message with

that line of code as not apearing on one line. It is a good idea

if you insert it in the web page as on One Continious Line.

In a furture Tip we will talk farther about this point.
